WEEKLY REFLECTION 3

 WEEKLY REFLECTION 3 (18 JULY - 22 JULY)

The third week of teaching practise was started from 18th July. As usual so many works and duties are there in the school. In the first day I reached the school and signed the attendance register. In the 6th hour I got a class in IX B and took the remaining portions of The Light on the hills. With the help of ICT group activity were given to students. They presented the answer on time.

The second day of the third week was very special because an awareness program was conducted in the school. The teachers informed us that a Food testing lab vehicle will arrive in the school to provide an awareness on Food testing.  A customised mobile food testing laboratory of the food safety and standards authority of India (FSSAI) reached the school in the afternoon. The state govt officials support this type of awareness on schools.

The customised vehicle has a state-of-the-art lab,fully equipped to conduct the tests for common adulterants in milk,water,edible oil, and others. A public announcement system and a TV screen have been set up in the vehicle to sensitise the public about food safety.

The teachers asked us to cordinate the program, so we assembled the students in the hall. Later the students were given the permission to watch the food testing techniques inside the vehicle.

We also experienced the food testing techniques and entered the vehicle to saw the facilities. It was great experience. Sushama teacher(HM) appreciated us for the coordination and management. It was a great day for all of us. 

There was no class on 20th July because of educational strike. But the HM informed us to come to school. So we spent there and completed our works. Prepared slides and lesson plan for coming class.

The fourth day I got a class at IX C and took the remaining portions of the lesson. In that day all the teacher trainees joined to serve the meals for the students.

The second-class observation was held in the fifth day. Our optional teacher informed us that she will arrive in the afternoon to observe the class. We arranged the class and this time I have chosen the 8th standard. Teacher arrives at 1:45 pm and my class was on 2:45 pm. At first she observed the class of other two trainees and then in the sixth she came to observe my class. Teacher clearly observed the class. after the class as usual she pointed out the drawbacks and positives of the class. She also gave instructions to improve the class and pointed the mistakes. positive side of the class was also pointed out and she appreciated us for the effort that we all took.
